# Description: Selmo PLC code

The PLC code is created in the Structured Text (ST) programming language and exported as PLCopen XML. This can then be imported into the chosen controller and loaded. Structured Text (ST) is a high-level programming language developed for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). It uses a syntax similar to high-level languages such as Pascal or C and allows the user to describe complex processes in a simple and readable form. PLCopen is an international association dedicated to the standardization of PLC programming and control. One of its goals is to create a uniform programming environment for PLCs in order to facilitate interoperability between different systems and manufacturers. PLCopen also supports the use of Structured Text as one of the programming languages for PLCs. Together, Structured Text and PLCopen enable developers to program PLC systems easily and efficiently while ensuring interoperability and compatibility between systems.
