# 7.7 Why Selmo procedures are more robust

Classic programs contain many hidden dependencies.\
When a variable is changed, the flow can unknowingly change elsewhere.\
In Selmo this is impossible:\
Every zone knows its context, and every state is self-contained.\
A change in one zone cannot unintentionally affect other zones.

That is why Selmo systems are not only reproducible but also resilient to changes.\
An update never alters the underlying behavior — only the function that was actually adjusted.
