# 8.9 Selmo und die Zukunft der Automatisierung

Selmo ist kein Gegenentwurf zur SPS – es ist ihre Weiterentwicklung.\
Die klassische SPS bleibt das ausführende System, aber sie wird durch Selmo zu einem **transparenten Interpreter**.\
Das, was früher Code war, ist heute ein Verhalten.

Zukünftig können diese Modelle automatisiert analysiert, simuliert und optimiert werden.\
Selmo ist damit die Grundlage für modellbasierte, digitale und sichere Automatisierungssysteme –\
die logische Brücke zwischen Engineering und künstlicher Intelligenz.
